The applications process for flexible accommodation option will be implemented as follows:

  • Returning students with an existing booking: Returning UG and PG students (2nd, 3rd, 4th & Post Graduates) who have currently booked campus accommodation will be requested if they wish to amend their existing booking to avail of a flexible package. Students will receive an email on Wednesday 05 August outlining how to amend existing bookings. Students will have until Friday 21 August to amend if they wish to do so.
  • All other returning students: An application lottery for all other returning UG and PG students (2nd, 3rd, 4th & Post Graduates) will open on Wednesday 05 August. The accommodation lottery will be open until Friday 21 August and successful room lottery applicants will expect communication confirming their flexible accommodation application in the week of the 24th of August 2020. For those who are unsuccessful, full semester accommodation will still be available.

APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED

IMPORTANT NOTE: Flexible accommodation packages are only available for the autumn semester.Prior to selecting a flexible accommodation option you should note that the University has not finalised its academic delivery plan for spring 2021. Should this revert to a traditional on campus delivery model we will not be in a position to meet the incremental request for accommodation and the 400 rooms will either continue to be allocated on a one in for week cycle basis or allocated by lottery. This would mean that only 1 in 4 students availing of the flexible option can be accommodated on campus for semester two.

If students have any queries on flexible accommodation option for returning UG and PG students, please see our frequently asked question section here. Alternatively please email your query to accommodation@ul.ie
