Welcome to Ireland's Sporting Campus
The University of Limerick plays a unique role in Irish sport. This includes responsibilities for the provision of teaching and research programmes in physical education and sports science. Currently there are 600 full-time students enrolled in such programmes. In addition to its national role, the university is responsible for providing a sports environment to the 11,500-strong student body and staff on campus, as well as the general sporting public in the region.
University Arena
The University Arena is a multi-purpose sports facility catering for the expanding national sports responsibilities the university enjoys. This large indoor facility completes the total package of sports available on campus for all user groups. Read more.

Situated on the shores of Lough Derg is the purpose-built University of Limerick Activity Centre. The Activity Centre is ideal for those interested in water- and/or land-based outdoor activities. Read more.
